Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I have just about every type of mother in my life to shop for. The “don’t get me anything” mom, the mom that has everything, the picky mom, the list goes on, but you get the picture. Sometimes gifting is hard but read on to find gift ideas for the moms in your life!
Gift Cards/Gift Certificates to their favorite places, for example: Nail salon for a mani and pedi, spa for a facial or massage, their favorite restaurant, the movie theatre, an experience they love doing, there is a gift card or certificate for everything now a days.
A Charm Bracelet is special because it is thoughtful, you’ll be continually buying charms that remind you of them, and that is meaningful and every time they wear it, they will be reminded how special they are to you. It’s also a gift that keeps giving, you can initially buy the actual bracelet and a charm, then every special day or milestone you get to buy a new charm to add to their bracelet, think, birthdays, Christmas, life events, anytime you’d buy a gift, add a charm.
Personalized jewelry like rings, necklaces, bracelets with birth stones on them with their kids' birth months, or engraved jewelry or anything personalized. (Things Remembered is a great option because they are in almost every mall, they won't break the bank and if there isn’t one near you, you can shop online plus they usually have deals where you spend so much you get a free jewelry box that you can add customization to.)
All things cozy! I live in Wisconsin and even in May we are in the 40’s. Blankets, slippers, cozy socks (my favorite are cozy cabin socks from Dick’s Sporting Goods, they are life!), plush robes, pajamas, throw in a cute coffee mug or tumbler although I personally don’t drink coffee (I know how do I function?) but you can throw in a Starbucks gift card in the mug and you have a cute little package.
Athleisure wear, but if you’re going to do this make sure it’s something fancy that they wouldn’t get themselves like Lululemon. I must say that the Lululemon align shorts with pockets are amazing and now that’s all I want to wear, like I seriously had millions of pairs of biker shorts and none of them exist to me anymore lol. The quality is just insane, super soft, they suck me in, if you bend over no one is going to see through them, and pockets, come on. They are worth the price, pair them with the Align tank top to round it out. (FYI-I am not sponsored, this is my true personal opinion)
Sneakers/shoes, you always need a good pair whether they are running shoes, lifestyle, casual and you can always pair them with a new outfit. I personally wear lots of Nike, so I like to keep it consistent and have everything matching.
Matching tattoos/piercings, ok I know when you think mom you think we are old but newsflash we were our own unique individuals before we were moms and I personally have always wanted to have multiple piercings in my ears. It looks so cute to have a pair of hoops and some studs etc. Also, I have tattoos and as my daughter gets older, she has hinted that she wants to get matching tattoos and depending how tasteful it is, that would be cute for Mother’s Day.
Magnolia Table cookbooks, I am obsessed with Joanna Gaines and all things Magnolia, she’s literally my idol. Anyways, I have tried many of her recipes and they are all amazing and I have yet to try one that has disappointed. If you are like me and always are wondering what is for dinner and wanting to try something new, look no further. Etsy has aprons that you can customize and that would just be great to go with the cookbooks.
Shopping spree! Take her to her favorite store and let her go crazy, or at least let her pick out something she loves and not the whole store lol. You can also give her the option to shop at an online store, let her add up a shopping cart and share it with you and you’ve got her a gift you know she will love since she picked it out!
A vacation, or a simple weekend getaway. With services like Affirm or Uplift, you can purchase a vacation for mom on a payment plan if you don’t want to pay in one big lump sum. Everyone needs a little R&R (especially moms) and what better gift to give than a beach getaway or even a weekend as we say in Wisconsin up north (IYKYK).
Matching cookware, I like to cook, and I like pretty things and things that match. At some point pots and pans get worn and or you remodel, and things start to get mixed up. It’s nice to refresh here and there with new matching cooking ware.
Perfume, we all use it and have our favorites and therefore we run out and need more. Whole gift sets are perfect you guessed it, gifts!
Plants, flowers, succulents etc. Cute pots, decorative items for the home and or patio are great ideas for mom!
Subscription boxes like FabFitFun and Ipsy are 2 of my favorites. I love getting stuff like this in the mail, it’s a gift that keeps on giving.
Don’t forget the card, some of the things on this list you can pair together or a bouquet of flowers and maybe balloons or some lotions or candles they love! Also, it is the thought that counts and mom will love you no matter what! Happy Mother’s Day!
