The Bridgewater Modern Grill- Brunch Experience

I'm always looking for new places to try when eating out. Recently, I had driven by billboards on the freeway showcasing, The Bridgewater Modern Grill. I had started seeing Instagram posts about The Bridgewater Modern Grill, so I decided to give them a try for myself. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so we headed out to try their brunch menu.

I'm all about sweets, and I always have a sweet tooth, but when it comes to breakfast, I'm a savory kind of girl. I always go for a classic breakfast, eggs over medium, some kind of potato, bacon over sausage and sour dough toast.

The Bridgewater Breakfast

The Bridgewater Breakfast did not disappoint. I opted not to change the way it came too much, so I kept the scrambled eggs with fontina cheese and chives because why not? It sounded like a delicious combination and it was, they were cooked perfectly. I did change the house made sausage patty for bacon and they were happy to allow me to do that swap.

The crispy fingerling potatoes were delicious, they had just the right crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with the perfect amount of salt. I really could not stop eating them, I kept going back to pick.

Flat Iron Steak and Frites

I don't set the bar very high for steaks served during breakfast because most places use a cheap cut during the most important meal of the day. With that being said I was pleasantly surprised with the Flat Iron Steak and Frites. The steak was ordered to be cooked medium and that is exactly how it came out and it was very flavorful. The meat was tender and juicy and just melt in your mouth goodness.

The frites were good, they were perfectly salted and the roasted garlic aioli was superb! I dipped just about everything in that sauce and it paired deliciously with everything.

Bruleed Brie

The bruleed brie was good, it was drenched with hot honey, had some petite greens on the side along with baguette crostini. It all paired well together but the brie could have been more melty on the inside. It was still good but I probably would try another small plate next time, however I'd still recommend it.

Overall

Let's first not forget about the Bloody Mary, it was solid, the shrimp that came inside was actually pretty tasty. The staff was nice, our server was perfect, she didn't check in with us too frequently which was fine, it allowed us to enjoy our meal in peace. The atmosphere was very modern and chic, and I am looking forward to coming back when the weather is consistently warm to sit on the patio. Overall, The Bridgewater Modern Grill was good and I will definitely be back, cheers to them!

(Side note: We did make reservations ahead of time which I recommend!)
